Baby's Room

No baby yet, but I have her room pretty put together so I thought I'd post some pictures. It's simple but I love it! Again I've been in the nesting mode of having everything ready. All our bags are packed, mine, baby's, and Finley's, house will be cleaned tomorrow, groceries bought (essentials), going to get a pedicure today, and my work is all lined up to go. I'm so excited and nervous for this sweet little one to enter the world! Finley still seems to be excited and keeps asking when the baby will be here. Hopefully the ultrasounds have been correct and this little one is indeed a girl, because the names on the wall in very girly lettering.

(sorry pictures aren't super clear, my camera doesn't do great indoor pictures)

Almost There

Well the countdown is on. Here I am at 9 months prego, we've begun the process of labor but who knows how long it will be until she comes. Dilated to 1.5cm and 60% effaced, wish I could say it means she'll come tomorrow but I still have three weeks of which this could last.

I'm nervous, anxious, and excited to meet our new little addition. Finley keeps asking me everyday when her baby sister is going to come out and play. As of now she still seems to like the idea of having a little friend around. We have the nursery just about done (like 98%) so I'll post pictures when it's there. The nesting mode has been in HIGH gear the last week in which bottles have been washed and steralized, diaper bag packed, all the baby clothes have been washed and put away, my bag is half way packed, the house has been cleaned top to bottom, had my hair and nails done, and getting work stuff ready for my leave. Much has gone through my mind about how my/our lives will change having two kids. Planning to take an extra half hour before leaving anywhere, packing around a diaper bag and remembering to have extra's of clothes and food, toting an infant car seat around, changing diapers, feeding-waking up every three hours to feed during the night, pretty much starting back at square one on everything, standing in the feed zones at bike races with the Baby BJorn on and a toddler at my side (good thing the chariot is my supply trailer), trying to take in all the moments of the first coo's and caah's, the first smile, remembering how good a new born baby smells, watching my two little girls bond and love each other, and all the other exciting stuff along the way. My heart starts pounding when I start worrying about being able to share enough love and time between my kids, but I know somehow I'll be able to do it. I love that Brian is so excited to have another little girl to have wrapped around his finger, even though he will be very much outnumbered. Life is once again going to change and with that bring so many happy times and new experiences!

A Good Year

2009 was a busy and fun year! We started the year off by building a new home and moving to Heber. We've been here almost a year and have loved it more than we imagined. In the last year we've taken up a new hobby of cross country skiing, had 13 or more bike races, discovered we are expecting baby #2, started commuting around the valley on bikes, Finley started Preschool, Brian got back into hunting, and I stayed busy keeping up with everyone and working. My baby will turn 3 in March, and with a new little one on the way, she won't be my 'baby' anymore. I look forward to 2010 and all that it will bring!
