Mama's Trip

My younger brother has been working in St. Thomas and my parents and I took a trip down to see him. Because of work Brian was unable to come with us. I did miss him and my girl's tons, but 5 days away cleared my head and helped bring back the patience a pregnant mother needs. We visited St. Thomas, Virgin Gorda Baths, and St. John's. All were really pretty island's that offered different tourist attractions. We ate well and had fun!

This is a view from my hotel room. You can see a big cruise ship in the background. In the busy part of the season there can be up to 6-8 boats. Kind of crazy. It's one of the main stops for the cruise lines.

Though it's hard to tell, the 5 bright lights in the middle are kayaks that you could take out at night.  It's pretty cool to see the ocean life at night and have a guide take you around the cove.

Ting. I've been hearing about this drink for years from my in laws and how great it is. As luck would have it, it was popular on St. Thomas and I'm not going to lie, I think I had at least 3 a day. It's a fresh squeezed grapefruit with sparkling water mix. So delicious!

These are The Baths at Virgin Gorda. You almost felt like you were at Lake Powell slot canyons only with the ocean. It was worth the 2 hour ferry ride to get there.
Me and my baby bump at The Baths.
Just me and the baby bump enjoying some sun.
This is Trunk Bay on St. John's. It's one of the top twenty beaches to visit according to travel channel. It was fantastic and if you love to snorkel, it was a great place. We also found the best little bakery shop on this island were we ate breakfast and lunch.

So what happens back home when mom is gone? Well I can tell you that Bri was a stud for surviving and I'm pretty sure the girls like it better when mom's gone because they do much cooler stuff with dad!
He took them to the zoo.

They wear lots of hippie headbands because that's as much as he can do with their hair.
They are so tired by the end of the day they fall asleep on their own.
Yep, even the landary got done! So impressed I may have to leave town more often.
He even attended their soccer games and made sure they had water bottles and snacks.

I so love all of your recent posts. Your girls are so adorable! you have been busy! I know the feeling about finding that energy to potty train... tmi, but we bought gracen a pink potty just to motivate a little. I wasn't really trying to do anything but one day I came downstairs and she was sitting on it watching a show and she pooped in it! success without even trying. but we have a long way to go:) I really hope I get to see you in a few weeks when I come up!! I think gracen and eliza would get a long great:)
