Family Night

Well I'm excited to say we found another activity that we can do as a family. On Monday nights at our gym they have family night, this means we can bring Finley in the climbing wall area with us. This is a new activity to both Fin and I. Brian has been a climber for a while so he is teaching us the techniques. I think it is pretty fun, but what I like is that they have auto-belayers so that you can climb by yourself and if you fall or are done you just let go and the rope slowly takes you down. In this first picture explains Fin's expression of watching us climb. It took some time getting her warmed up to the idea of putting a harness on her and letting her go. She wasn't sure what to think and didn't like it at first. It wasn't until we told her it was a big swing that she warmed up to the idea. After she was in and Brian started lifting her up she loved it! She just kept giggling and saying 'swing papa, swing.' Of course she's still kind of little to be able to climb very well on the wall but with Brian's and I's help we got her to hold on and learn to put her feet on the wall. Watching her on the wall and looking at these pictures makes me realize how big she's getting and that she's no longer a baby but a little girl. It was so cute and I can't wait to take her back.
