Happy Birthday Finley

Finley May, today you turn two and I can't believe where the time has gone! I still remember the day I had you and you looked up at me with those big eyes of yours. It is such a wonderful feeling knowing that you are mine. We've watched you go from thinking formula was yummy to discovering what real food tastes like and how much better it is. Now you are a picky eater and some days I'm lucky if we can get you to eat anything more than popcorn and juice. We've watched you go from rolling over, to crawling, to taking your first steps, and now teaching you to ride a bike. You're little personality is showing more and more and it's so much fun having you be able to communicate with us and mimic what we do (that is good and bad). You are making your papa and I learn to be better and seeing life through a two year old's eye. I love that right now you are all about music and singing along, especially in the car. You love to dance and as papa has taught you, shake your booty. You love watching movies and are more into the old classics that I watched when I was little then Barney and those other weird kid shows. If I would let you, you would live outside no matter what the temperature and conditions. You've loved being outside since you were born. Seeing you help your papa work on his bike and want to be apart of whatever is going on makes me smile. In your two little years we have lived in three different homes (towns), have been through 2 going on 3 race seasons for papa, ice skating, tubing, left you a handful of times with grandparents while we've gone on trips, flown on an airplane, already have a motorcycle and two bikes, ridden a mule, and so much more. I think this means that your life will never be boring and you will have many opportunities to live life to the fullest. I love how independent you are and now you love doing everything on your own. You are getting your shoes on the right feet 95% of the time now. You love taking shower's instead of a bath. You know how to use my IPhone better than I do. You love yoga. You love helping me clean (you're definitly my daughter). You don't like sippie cups any more and insist on drinking out of cup or a water bottle like papa. Your papa and I love you so much and hope that as the years go on you will enjoy all the wonderful things available to you. Happy Birthday my little May May!!
